Are your sitters bonded and insured and also what does this mean to me as a client?

Yes Blue Chip’s pet sitters are fully bonded and insured which means that your property and pets are fully covered, should anything occur on our sitter’s watch. We take great pride in caring for your pets and your possessions. Therefore, establishing this policy was a no brainer for Blue Chip Pet Care. Blue Chip Pet Care strives to provide the upmost in customer satisfaction to give you piece of mind.

What services do you offer?
Private and group dog walking, cat and small pet sitting, in-home overnight sitting, private boarding, pet shuttle, day at the park and in home product delivery. While your pet is with Blue Chip he or she will benefit from attention, exercise, basic leash and social techniques. We also offer a Keep Fit with Blue Chip exercise program that can be added on to any service in fifteen minute increments.

What areas do you serve?
Blue Chip Pet Care currently serves downtown Nashville, TN and the surrounding areas with our first location. More about Blue Chip Pet Care Nashville can be found under the locations tab. We are currently expanding and will be offering service in additional cities. We will keep you posted on this expansion so that you can receive the same great service when traveling with your pet.

How soon do I need to schedule and cancel a service?
We recommend as soon as possible, however we can usually accommodate last minute requests. We highly recommend scheduling an overnight stay at least two weeks prior to your departure. We also recommend setting up a schedule for in-home product delivery. You are able to cancel any service other than a day at the park and in-home overnight stay the morning of your scheduled service with no cancelation charge or fee. In-home overnight pet sitting and a day at the park must be canceled forty eight hours prior to service otherwise a 50% service fee will be incurred.

Will there be consistency in your service?
At Blue Chip Pet Care, our main goal is to create and instill a sense of security to build a trusting relationship between you, your sitter and your pets. We understand that even though your pet’s environment is unchanging, it changes as soon as a stranger walks into your home. We want your pets to always feel safe and loved even when you are away. Not only are our sitters located in a close proximity to your home that easily provides you with highly personalized service, but we also have a back up sitter available in the case of emergency or if otherwise unavailable for your required dates of service. In the event of a sitter substitution you would be notified prior to the scheduled service and we would seek your approval.

What do you charge?
At Blue Chip Pet Care our first step is to meet with you and your pet(s) in person to assess your needs. We follow the Blue Chip guidelines and offer a rate dependent on your service. We do offer promotional specials throughout the year for different services. Feel free to contact us and our staff will build a plan to fit both yours and your pet’s needs.

What is the purpose of the “Free In-Home Consultation”?
At Blue Chip Pet Care when you request service your pet sitter will conduct a free in-home consultation at your home. This gives you the opportunity to meet your sitter and communicate any information you feel necessary. This allows us provide the best and most personalized care for your pets. You will also provide your sitter with a key at the time of your consultation, which is retained by your sitter. This way we can provide you with continuous, convenient service and be readily available in case you have an unexpected need for our services.

What time will the sitter make visits to my pets?
We understand the importance of keeping your pet on his or her normal routine, this is one of our main goals. We will schedule visits as close as we can to your pets desired time of visit. At the in-home consultation your sitter will record all your pet’s normal activities, and we will work to keep that same routine!

Can you provide references?
Of course, your pet sitter will be happy to provide references of prior pet sits. We currently have testimonials scrolling on the left side of our home page. We also have a yelp page for each location where references must go through a filter and be approved before they are placed on our page.

How to I pay for services?
After scheduling a service with Blue Chip Pet Care we will set up your account after the initial meeting. You will receive an e-mail with a schedule confirmation of your service for your records. At the end of each month we bill your account. You will receive a statement showing services for the month as well as receipts for your records.

How are pet sitters screened?
At Blue Chip Pet Care we understand the need to have a trusting, loving and professional person you can rely on to take care of your house and pet. That is why at Blue Chip pet sitters are interviewed, screened, taken on a ride day and gone through a background check. You will receive a survey where you will be able to rate your sitter and Blue Chip Pet Care as a whole. We love feedback because we want to serve our clients to the best of our ability.
